In this work we present a Mammograms repository application that is hosted on the gLibrary/DRI platform, a Grid-based multirepository environment designed to ease the deployment and hosting of repositories. Grid environments present several facilities that are worthy for digital repositories. The most important ones are strong security contexts, the data federation, the information sharing and the availability of large computing and storage capacity. The gLibrary/DRI platform o ers to the Mammograms repository (as well as to any other repository) default implementations for storage system and node navigation, algorithm launching mechanisms and easy integration with viewer tools for representing the content of the repositories. In particular, the viewer for the Mammograms repository has several features that help clinicians to make diagnosis through easy inspection of the repository contents. Finally, the platform provides a wide set of image processing algorithms particularly well suited for medical imaging.
